Introductions: Adam Britten

Greetings! I’m Adam Britten, a Community Management Intern at Livefyre. Unlike Anne, I’m a new addition to the team. I spent the summer of 2011 as the Social Media Marketing Intern for American Eagle Outfitters. Also that summer, I had the pleasure of meeting Jenna Langer. After she told me all about Livefyre, I knew it’d be a great fit for me. When I saw Jenna tweet that the company was looking for interns, I jumped at the opportunity; and now, here I am!
Other than my work at American Eagle, I’ve worked for a few other companies across the country (and around the world!) always in the area of social media marketing & community management. One of my jobs was as a Student Social Media Strategist at Syracuse University, where I graduated with a degree in Marketing Management in 2011. Currently, I’m a Master of Digital Marketing student at Hult International Business School, right here in the wonderful city of San Francisco.
A little bit more about me:
- I love roller coasters, and theme parks in general.
- I’m a huge Disney fan, and I secretly wish my life was an animated musical.
- I could spend hours wandering around a history museum or a modern art gallery.
In the future, I hope to continue my interest in social media, my desire to meet new people, and my habit of talking too much, while hopefully earning enough money to keep up my Starbucks addiction. But right now, I’m enjoying all of that here at Livefyre! Just like Anne, you’ll see my name appearing in the many blogs of the Livefyre community, as well as on our Interns Choice series in the company blog. And since I’m always on Twitter, unless I’m asleep or in a theatre, you can always reach me there.
Introductions: Anne Dreshfield

Hi guys, my name is Anne Dreshfield, and I’m one of the community manager & strategy interns here at Livefyre. I was a community manager intern here last summer, and simply could not stay away. I’m not sure if it was Jeremy’s singing, the awesome food in the kitchen, Hannah’s hilarious shenanigans, or just the beauty of the city, but I’m back again. :) Jeremy sent an introduction email out to the (now much bigger) office on my first day, and it perhaps says it all:
Anne was here with us last year kickin’ tail and taking names. She commented everywhere. She created blog content. She helped Jordan with publisher pitch decks. She did it all. And this summer, she’ll be doing all that and then some to help community take things to another level. Anne is a native of Walnut Creek, CA and enjoys horseback riding, creative writing (her major, ready to enter her senior year at Scripps College in SoCal), Livefyre team dodgeball at House of Air (ball-er!), old-school Dungeons and Dragons, competitive high-powered rifle shooting (she prefers anything that shoots a Win Mag .300) , and she even dabbled in illegal back-alley cage fighting last summer.
All or only some of that may be true.
Emphasis on the last sentence, there. I am a native of Walnut Creek (and I’m staying with my grandparents for the summer again; can’t beat the rent!), I do enjoy horseback riding (I’ve been riding Western since I was seven and recently took up English this year, and was jumping by my second lesson), and yes, I’m a writing major at school. I’d love to eventually write novels, but my advisor and I decided that I should try earning some money with my degree first (cue laughter here). I decided to fuse my love of writing and media into my self-designed major, Creative Writing for Contemporary Media. My studies have led me to a variety of internships, from remote, to on my college campus, to here in San Francisco. I love connecting with people online, and Livefyre is, of course, an absolutely wonderful way to do that. I have one more year of school left, and I can’t wait to see what happens after that!
Here at Livefyre, you’ve probably seen my name on the Interns’ Choice series we started last summer. It’s always fun to put together week-to-week, and the response we’ve received from the community has been great. Expect to see many more of those posts this summer! I’ll also be bopping around sites in the Livefyre network, commenting on anything that catches my eye, participating in Twitter chats, exploring the blogosphere, and maybe even dabbling in projects around the office. If you’re ever in Walnut Creek, you’ll most likely find me shopping or screaming expletives on the golf course (I just started taking lessons. Masochist?). I’ll talk your ear off about horses, video games, cars, feminism, and makeup. Also, I’m shamelessly in love with Josh Groban…and that, I think, just might be it. Catch me on Twitter anytime!
