Sit like you’re doing work
Giddy up! (And if you can’t tell, these hats light up. Oh yes.)
Have you ever tried fried rattlesnake? Fried rattlesnake is DELICIOUS.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about the new Livefyre office?
A: The fact that the game room is now an actual game room, not just a meeting room that happens to have a ping pong table in it
Q: If you could speak any other language, which would you want to learn?
A: I always thought that learning a fictional language like one of Tolkien’s languages would be a cool, totally useless skill to have. More practically though, probably Arabic.
Q: What did you want to be when you were younger?
A: A professional athlete. When I was little, I wanted to be a baseball player, but then I started to play soccer and I liked that a bit more.
Q: What song best describes your personality?
A: “Bang the Drum All Day” by Todd Rundgren, except when working at Livefyre, I love it here….but banging on a drum would still be fun too.

Overheard at Livefyre…
As two employees arguing over who would win in a game of Risk:
1: I was a Risk prodigy at the age of 4.
2: Well, they call me “The Black Death.”
Meet Me Monday: Gene

Q: What’s your favorite thing about the new Livefyre office?
A: There’s too many to name… Its a beautifully designed floor spanning across 3 historical buildings, that has distinct Livefyre flavor. We were greeted with new desks, chairs, tvs, meeting rooms, a soda fridge and donuts, and everyone likes new toys (still to come are new pool and ping pong tables). But the consistent air conditioning really made my day.
Q: If you could live in any past century which would you pick and why?
A: I’m going to say the 1600s. I cant think of another time period in which a single person can make more of an impact in the fields of science, art, or philosophy, plus they wore cool clothes. The downside is the lack of espresso, computers and comfort.
Q: What would the title be of a book about your life?
A: “Costumes, computers and constellations”
Q: What’s your favorite thing to do in San Francisco?
A: The thing that I think San Francisco does better than any other city I’ve lived, is street festivals. Bay to breakers, Union st, Folsom st, and the rest, really have an atmosphere that is unique to SF and cant be beat. If I can extend this to the whole bay though, there’s a monthly poetry slam and performing arts variety show called “Tourettes without Regrets” that I look forward to more than anything else on my regular calendar - definitely worth checking out!

Q: What does the word “community” mean to you?
A: Community to me means interaction, collaboration, belonging and yet possible dissonance, a place for kindred minds and spirits to explore diverse ideas, mostly connections.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about working for Livefyre?
A: I come from a finance, and extremely corporate background so I am so enjoying the people and the atmosphere here. It is fun to work with a group of individuals who are all doing whatever they need to get something going, everyone chips in, has fun and gets the work done. Also, I love watching as new ideas, products etc. are created and built from the ground up - it is something I have never been a part of and I love that “innovation” that is in the air.
Q: What’s your favorite summer song?
A: I am training for a marathon this fall so anything I can run to! Maybe “Let’s Go” Calvin Harris and Ne’yo or if I am feeling particularly girly Carly Rae Jeppson, “Call Me Maybe?”
Q: If you could learn one new skill, what would it be?
A: Can I say flying? Or mind reading? Those would definitely be the “super powers” I would want. In terms of learnable skills, I would say I want to learn to be a better cook, and to ride a bicycle - I have never learned - can you imagine?
Q: Where in SF is your favorite place to be? (Except for the Livefyre office, of course!)
A: I love to shop in SF, eat in SF, and run in SF so I would say… Union Square (for shopping), the Mission (for food), and Crissy Field (for running)
